Roger Marler, of Calgary, Canada, has completed his model of Marlborough Station and it’s now in place on his friend’s layout of the Midland & South Western Junction Railway. Without any form of architectural drawings of the building, but with just a handful of early photographs available, he had to make a series of educated guesstimates of the building’s size, and the various components within it. The penultimate construction part of the project was the roof panels, and, as the prototype had slate roofing, he used York Modelmaking’s laser-cut self adhesive slates.
